![]() ![]() The main batteries on battleships are disproportionately powerful vs cruisers. Both destroyers and battleships are your primary threats for your secondaries to chew on. This is all the penetration you need to damage destroyers and battleships, as taking IFHE provides zero extra benefit against these targets. The base penetration on the Mass/Georgia secondaries is 20mm. Here's the most definitive scoop on IFHE for both Massachusetts and Georgia. ![]() ![]() I run my Massachusetts with PT, PM, AR, BFT, AFT, MS, and CE. This gives you 4 points to play around with that's not tied up by AFT, BFT and AR. I go IFHE but don't go Manual Secondaries because the Mass and Georgia have a baked in accuracy bonus to their secondaries that nobody else gets while allowing both sides to fire. What do you all do for Georgia and/or Massachusetts? AFT and MFSA are probably givens, but is it worth sacrificing AR and BoS for maybe CE or FP? Does Georgia even benefit from them that much? I know even for Mass it helps you chew on a bit more, but you are still helpless against bigger BBs and cruisers (?). Should I go all in and get IFHE? I really dislike that idea because it makes you reliant on secondaries as opposed to having them as a tool. Secondaries in slot 3 since they don't get a dispersion buff. Upgrades are more or less self explanatory. I figured I'd do a custom 'weird' build on him since Halsey is likely gonna get moved around (as opposed to actually using that 2nd cap). Luckily, I got Halsey and have a spare 19 point guy hanging about. Sadly, this means that Massachusetts, and probably by extension Georgia, wont get the run time they deserve. I am typically of the opinion that BB secondaries are largely not worthwhile, especially on anything without quarter pen (ie, not German). Just hauled in Georgia from my rankout haul, and am once again faced with the Massachusetts syndrome. ![]()
